Chennai, July 27 -- The Madras High Court on Monday adjourned to July 29, a poll petition filed by one of the losing Kolathur Assembly constituency candidates seeking a probe by the Election Commission of India (ECI) against DMK President and FormerTamil Nadu CM M K Stalin for allegly ing suppressing details about DMK Charitable Trust in his poll affidavit.
Stalin lost the recent Assembly polls from his stronghold of Kolathur after winning thrice in succession in the 2011, 2016 and 2021 polls.
When the petition was taken up for hearing, the First Bench comprising Chief Justice S A Dharmadhikari and Justice G Arul Murugan posted the matter to June 29 after directing the petitioner to submit proper English translations of he Tamil document....
