Bhubaneswar, May 10 -- The proposed expansion of Odisha's Kodingamali Bauxite Mines from 3.6 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) to 6.0 MTPA is poised to significantly strengthen the state's industrial foundation and resource-based economy.

Operated by the state-owned Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) for the past eight years, Kodingamali Mines spans across Koraput and Rayagada districts and has emerged as a key supplier of bauxite to industries within Odisha.

Currently functioning at a production capacity of 3.6 MTPA, the mine plays a crucial role in supporting the state's industrial ecosystem by supplying raw materials to various sectors.
