Kochi, Oct. 11 -- The Kochi Water Metro achieved a major milestone today as Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated two new terminals at Mattancherry and Willingdon Island.
Built at a combined cost of Rs 38 crore, the additions raise the total number of Water Metro terminals to 12, marking a significant expansion of India's first integrated water-based metro system.
The project is implemented by Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) in collaboration with the Kerala government and supported by German funding agency KfW. This partnership continues to reshape mobility across the city's backwaters.
