Kolkata, June 11 -- Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) Administrator Smita Pandey on Thursday sought a detailed report from the civic body's Building department on the current status of 'illegal construction' at Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee's residence.
A few days after the BJP government came to power in the recent state Assembly election, the KMC on May 19 sent notices to 17 Kolkata properties linked to Abhishek Banerjee triggering a high voltage political turn of events.
