Hyderabad, March 11 -- union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy on Wednesday criticised the conduct of the Telangana Assembly Speaker over the issue of party defections, alleging that democracy was being disrespected under the rule of the Indian National Congress in the state.
Reacting to the decision of Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar to dismiss disqualification petitions against MLAs Danam Nagender and Kadiyam Srihari, Kishan Reddy said granting them a "clean chit" amounted to disregarding the mandate of the people.
