New Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug. 3 -- union Coal and Mines Minister GKishan Reddy on Monday welcomed the allocation of the PKOC-2 (Prakasam Khani Open Cast) Dip-side coal block near Manuguru in Bhadradri Kothagudem district to the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), describing it as a major milestone for the company's growth and Telangana's energy security.
In a statement, the union minister congratulated Singareni workers, their families, trade unions, management and the people of Telangana, saying the acquisition of the long-awaited coal block followed the successful addition of the Naini and Tadicherla-2 coal blocks to Singareni's portfolio.
He said the PKOC-2 Dip-side block was secured after the auction process concluded on Monday....
