Hyderabad, May 18 -- union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy on Sunday night flagged off a new train service from Charlapally to Tiruchanur (Tirupati) at Cherlapally Railway Station and said railway development works worth nearly Rs 40,000 crore are currently underway across Telangana.
Addressing the media on the occasion, the union Minister said the redevelopment of Secunderabad Railway Station is being carried out on par with the Shamshabad International Airport with world-class facilities at a cost of Rs 720 crore. He added that modernisation works at Nampally Railway Station are also progressing rapidly with an investment of RS 350 crore.
