New Delhi/Hyderabad, June 16 -- union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy on Tuesday rejected Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's allegations that he was obstructing Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-2, asserting that the Centre was fully committed to Telangana's development and had already agreed in principle to a 50:50 cost-sharing model for the project.
Addressing a press conference at his official residence in New Delhi, Kishan Reddy said the Centre had extended full support to Telangana across sectors, including national highways, railways, urban infrastructure and industrial development.
He noted that the union Government had contributed Rs 1,250 crore to Metro Phase-1 and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the project.
