New Delhi/Hyderabad, April 17 -- union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy on Friday defended the Women's Reservation Bill and the proposed delimitation process, accusing opposition parties of spreading misinformation and opposing the reforms for political reasons.
Addressing a press conference in Delhi, he said the Centre has undertaken consultations with political parties, experts, and intellectuals, and assured that no injustice will be done to any state, particularly those in South India. He stated that a balanced formula has been proposed to ensure equitable representation, including a uniform increase in seats.
