Kochi, April 4 -- union Minister Kiren Rijiju today alleged that extremist and fundamentalist groups seeking to destabilise the country are attempting to turn Kerala into a "safe haven".
Addressing a gathering in connection with an election campaign, Rijiju claimed that such elements, which pose a threat to national security, are receiving support in the state from both the CPI(M) and the Congress, despite Kerala's high literacy levels.
He asserted that the Narendra Modi-led union government places the highest priority on national security and will act firmly against any such moves.
