Bengaluru, Sept. 1 -- Corporate leaders Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and Mohandas Pai today raised concerns over Bengaluru's crumbling infrastructure, urging Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to push for urgent reforms that match the city's global status as a top technology hub.
Shaw, the founder of Biocon, said while Bengaluru boasts world-class talent and a salubrious climate, its poor infrastructure has become a major handicap. She stressed the need for immediate improvements in waste management and road conditions, warning that without such measures, the city's global reputation will be at risk.
