Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 7 -- The Kerala Highway Research Institute (KHRI) has launched two digital applications to strengthen Public Works Department (PWD) project planning and execution, including a new web-based tool for designing retaining walls up to eight metres high and an online geo-database of soil test data. The applications were formally inaugurated by Public Works and Tourism Minister P.A. Mohammed Riyas.
The retaining wall design tool enables PWD officials to enter key technical inputs and instantly generate structural designs, specifications, and estimated material quantities required for construction.
In a major step towards scientific project planning, KHRI has also integrated a bore log geo-database on its website. The sy...
