Patna, Oct. 25 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) strongly condemned Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge over his alleged objectionable remarks at a public meeting here on Sunday against the late father of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In separate statements, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai and state BJP president Sanjay Saraogi demanded an apology from the Congress leadership.
Choudhary said Kharge's use of objectionable language against the Prime Minister's late father was deeply unfortunate. He alleged that the remarks reflected the malicious attitude of the Congress and Rahul Gandhi towards the Prime Minister's family.
