Bengaluru, June 11 -- Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday secured a fresh term in the Rajya Sabha from Karnataka, as all four candidates in the biennial elections -- three Congress and one BJP -- were elected unopposed, reflecting the ruling Congress' numerical dominance in the State Assembly.
Kharge, who completed his previous Rajya Sabha tenure only recently, was among three Congress nominees declared elected. The others were Mansoor Ali Khan and Pawan Khera.
The BJP's sole nominee, Prof M. Nagaraj, also entered the Upper House without facing a contest.
