Bengaluru, May 20 -- Fresh speculation over a possible leadership change in the Karnataka Congress intensified on Wednesday after Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge held discussions with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar amid renewed political activity within the party.
According to party insiders, Kharge travelled from Thiruvananthapuram to Bengaluru along with Siddaramaiah, Shivakumar and other senior Congress leaders after attending the swearing-in ceremony of the new UDF government in Kerala.
The leaders later held discussions at the residence of Karnataka Energy Minister KJ George, triggering fresh political buzz in the state.
