New Delhi, June 7 -- Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the Narendra Modi-led government over rising domestic LPG prices, alleging that repeated increases in cooking gas rates were placing an unbearable burden on ordinary households and raising questions about the effectiveness of the Centre's energy and welfare policies.
Domestic cooking gas prices were raised by Rs 29 per cylinder late Saturday, marking the second hike in three months as state-owned oil marketing companies grapple with escalating global energy costs driven by the continuing conflict in West Asia.
