New Delhi, Sept. 7 -- Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge today accused the Election Commission of India of functioning like the "BJP's back-office for vote chori" and stonewalling the investigation into what he claimed was "voter fraud in Karnataka".

In a post on X, Kharge, while attaching a news item, claimed that ahead of the May 2023 Karnataka assembly elections, large-scale voter deletions had taken place in the Aland constituency, where over 5,994 forged Form 7 applications were reportedly used to strip citizens of their voting rights.
