Itanagar, July 31 -- Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has been elected as the president of the Tawang District Football Association (DFA), expressing gratitude to members for reposing their trust and confidence in him.
Khandu also congratulated Khoncho Tashi on his election as general secretary, Drema Choikey as vice president, and the newly elected executive committee of the DFA.
He conveyed special appreciation to outgoing Tawang DFA president and sitting MLA Namgey Tsering for his leadership and contributions towards the promotion of football in the district.
Highlighting the importance of inclusive leadership, Khandu welcomed the strong representation of women in the newly elected Executive Committee.
