Chandigarh, Oct. 26 -- Senior Congress leader and Bholath MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira today launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, alleging that Punjab is being run like a modern-day Mughal or British regime where dissenting voices are being crushed through police force and intimidation.

Khaira said instead of serving the people as a democratically elected leader, Mann has adopted a style of governance rooted in authoritarianism, vengeance, and fear. "Punjab today has turned into a police state, where opposition leaders, activists, and innocent citizens are being silenced and harassed," he said.
