Lucknow, Jan. 9 -- In a case that has rocked King George's Medical University (KGMU), the university's Vishakha Committee has found resident doctor Rameez Uddin Nayak alias Rameez Malik guilty of physical, emotional, and mental harassment of women doctors.

Acting on the committee's findings, the university has continued his suspension and formally recommended his expulsion to the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME).

The decision was announced on Friday during a press conference held at KGMU's administrative building. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sonia Nityanand said that Rameez Uddin is already under suspension and, based on the committee's report, the university has decided to proceed with his expulsion.
