Pune, April 14 -- Cross-Examination in the criminal defamation case filed against Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi over alleged defamatory remarks concerning freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar continued on Tuesday before the Special MP-MLA Court here.
The complaint is filed by Savarkar's grandson, Satyaki Savarkar. During the proceedings, defence counsel Adv. Milind Dattatraya Pawar conducted an extensive cross-examination of the complainant.
During the cross-examination, Satyaki Savarkar stated that he was unaware whether certain sections of society had greater access to education during the pre-independence period, potentially influencing the writing and shaping of historical narratives.
