Kannur, Oct. 25 -- Taliparamba Additional Sessions Court today sentenced a woman to life imprisonment, in connection with the murder of her husband Chackochan alias Kunjumon of Mulapara near Cherupuzha in 2013.
Judge K N Prasanth awarded life imprisonment to Rosamma (63) of Peringome, wife of the deceased, and imposed a fine of Rs one lakh. The court found her guilty yesterday and pronounced the verdict today.
It was on July 6, 2013, when the body of Chackochan (60), a salesman in a medical shop at Payyanur, was found by the roadside near their house at Cherupuzha with severe head injuries in the early hours.
