Kullu, March 29 -- Prompt action by Himachal Pradesh Police averted a potential tragedy after a young trekker from Kerala was rescued from heavy snowfall near Manali on Sunday morning.
The trekker, identified as 20-year-old Arshad Narkottu Maveli from Malappuram, had set out alone for trekking towards the Vyas Kund area. During the trek, his shoes got soaked in snow, leaving him stranded and unable to move further in sub-zero conditions. As his condition worsened, he alerted police through the 112 helpline.
