Thiruvananthapuram, July 2 -- Kerala Tourism's week-long Onam Tourism Week Celebrations will be held from August 24 to 30, with a grand state-level inaugural ceremony in Thiruvananthapuram and a renewed focus on showcasing the state's rich traditional art forms to domestic and international visitors.

Announcing the programme after a meeting of legislators, department heads and officials involved in organising the annual festival, Tourism and Culture Minister P.C. Vishnunadh said this year's celebrations would place greater emphasis on Kerala's classical, folk and ethnic art traditions, reflecting the growing interest among foreign tourists in experiencing the state's cultural heritage.
