Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 4 -- Kerala will support the Maldives' ambitious '5 Million Tree Project', aimed at increasing tree cover and strengthening environmental sustainability and coastal resilience in the island nation. The initiative also seeks to deepen the warm ties between Kerala and the Maldives through environmental cooperation.
Forest Minister Shibu Baby John formally inaugurated Kerala's participation in the project at a function held at his chamber. Maldives Consul General Aminath Shifana received the tree saplings on behalf of the Maldives.
