Thiruvananthapuram, June 3 -- The Kerala government will make all major tourist destinations across the state film-shooting friendly and take stringent legal measures to curb piracy, Minister for Cinema, Tourism and Culture P C Vishnunath announced following a high-level meeting with representatives of Malayalam film industry organizations.

The minister said the consultation was convened with urgency at a time when Malayalam cinema is witnessing unprecedented growth and national recognition.

He noted that the industry's market has expanded considerably and stressed the need for all stakeholders to work together to safeguard its progress and future prospects.
