Thiruvananthapuram, April 10 -- Polling for the 2026 Kerala Legislative Assembly elections concluded successfully on April 9, recording a voter turnout of 78.27 per cent across 30,495 polling stations, according to an official press note issued by the Election Commission of India, on Friday.
Following the completion of polling, all Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) units have been securely stored in designated strong rooms across the state.
The storage process was carried out in the presence of contesting candidates or their authorized representatives, along with Central Observers deputed by the Commission, and under continuous videography.
