Thiruvananthapuram, July 28 -- The Kerala Police has cautioned the public against fraudulent loan apps and online lending scams operated through social media platforms, SMS messages and fake websites.
According to the police, fraudsters use platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp and Telegram to circulate attractive loan offers and lure people seeking financial assistance. Those who respond to such advertisements are often directed to download and install fake APK files that are designed to look like genuine loan applications.
