Thiruvananthapuram, March 24 -- The Cyber Operations Wing of Kerala Police has launched coordinated action to curb the spread of misleading and harmful content on social media in connection with the ongoing Kerala Legislative Assembly Election 2026.
According to a press release here on Tuesday, authorities observed that certain images and content- despite being clarified by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Kerala through official communication and press briefing- continued to circulate online in a misleading manner.
Officials said such content formed part of a broader misinformation campaign that could undermine the integrity of the electoral process and erode public trust.
