Thiruvananthapuram, July 16 -- Kerala Police have registered cases against 2,936 motorists for driving under the influence of alcohol during a six-day statewide special enforcement campaign, with 662 driving licences recommended for suspension.

The "Drive Sober - Stay Alive" campaign, organised by the Traffic & Road Safety Management Wing of Kerala Police from July 8 to 13, saw officials inspect 67,979 vehicles across the state to detect drunken driving and raise awareness about its deadly consequences.
