Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 9 -- A 13-member media delegation from Kerala, currently on a seven-day press tour of Jammu and Kashmir, visited key sericulture institutions in the union Territory on Tuesday, gaining first-hand insights into silk production, research and seed development.
The second day of the tour began with a visit to the Central Sericultural Research and Training Institute (CSR&TI), Pampore, where Scientist-D Dr Irfan Illahi briefed the journalists on India's silk production sector and research initiatives aimed at strengthening the industry.
