Thiruvananthapuram, June 16 -- Kerala on Tuesday officially launched the self-enumeration phase of Census 2027, India's first fully digital population census, with Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan completing the online registration process.
The Governor inaugurated the initiative by submitting his details through the Census self-enumeration portal at Lok Bhavan, while the Chief Minister completed the process at Mascot Hotel, marking the formal rollout of self-enumeration across the state.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor described the digital census as a landmark step in India's administrative history and urged citizens to actively participate in the exercise.
