Kochi, Oct. 26 -- The Kerala High Court has sought a report on the fatal Cheranalloor road accident in Kochi, while police have registered a case against the father of the 17-year-old accused of driving the car that killed a 55-year-old scooter rider.
The case against the judge, who is the registered owner of the Mercedes-Benz involved in the accident, was filed under Section 199A of the Motor Vehicles Act, which prescribes liability for offences involving juveniles driving vehicles. The development followed protests by the victim's family, who demanded stringent action against those responsible.
