Thiruvananthapuram, July 28 -- Kerala Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan today urged Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay to intervene and facilitate the uninterrupted inter-State transportation of stone aggregates from Tamil Nadu for the ongoing National Highway and other nationally significant infrastructure projects in Kerala.

In a letter, Satheesan said the Tamil Nadu Government's Gazette Notification, dated July 9, 2026, introducing regulations governing the inter-State transportation of rough stones and other construction materials, had significantly affected the movement of stone aggregates from Tirunelveli, Tenkasi and Kanniyakumari districts to Kerala.
