Thiruvananthapuram, June 16 -- : Kerala Legislative Assembly Speaker Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan on Tuesday said the Assembly is exploring a landmark initiative to enable members of the public to ask questions in the House, similar to systems followed in some legislatures abroad.

The Speaker said the proposed reform is aimed at making the legislature more participatory by giving a greater role not only to elected representatives but also to the people who elect them.

He said consultations with experts would be held before finalising the proposal.
