Thiruvananthapuram, May 5 -- With the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) securing a decisive two-thirds majority in the Kerala Assembly elections, intense deliberations are underway within the party to finalise the next Chief Minister.
Political activity has gathered momentum in the state capital, as senior Congress leaders V. D. Satheesan, Ramesh Chennithala and K. C. Venugopal emerge as key contenders for the top post.
The leaders have been holding a series of consultations with party colleagues and UDF partners amid efforts to arrive at a consensus.
