Thiruvananthapuram, May 30 -- Opposition leader in Kerala Assembly Pinarayi Vijayan today termed the entry of State Police Chief Ravada Chandrasekhar into the Assembly during Governor Rajendra Arlekar's policy address as a "serious protocol violation".
The controversy unfolded when the DGP accompanied the Governor into the Assembly hall as the latter arrived to deliver the policy declaration speech of the newly elected UDF government. The unusual development immediately triggered protests from the opposition benches.
