Thiruvananthapuram, June 20 -- Padma Shri awardee and eminent Malayalam poet, literary critic and scholar P. Narayana Kurup passed away at his residence in Indira Nagar, Peroorkada, today after battling age-related ailments.
He was 91.
Widely regarded as one of the finest literary voices in Malayalam, Narayana Kurup leaves behind an enduring legacy of poetry, literary criticism and cultural scholarship that enriched Kerala's literary landscape for over six decades.
His last rites will be held at the Thycaud Santhikavadam crematorium at 3.30 p.m. on Sunday.
