Thiruvananthapuram, March 8 -- Kerala ministers M.B. Rajesh and Kadannappally Ramachandran are under scrutiny after an audit by the Accountant General (AG) highlighted alleged violations of parliamentary salary and pension regulations.

The AG report states that both ministers, former Members of Parliament, continued to receive their MP pensions while drawing full ministerial salaries-a practice that contravenes rules requiring pensions to be suspended or adjusted when holding a government post with a salary.

According to parliamentary procedures, former MPs must formally request suspension of their pensions while earning a government salary, a step the two ministers reportedly failed to take.
