Kozhikode, Feb. 17 -- A major fire broke out at a textile showroom in Kozhikode city on Tuesday evening.
The blaze erupted at the three-storey Jayalakshmi Silks building on Kallai road, near the Kozhikode railway station, where a similar incident had happened previously on April 1, 2023, in which losses worth crores of rupees were reported.
The fire is reported to have happened around 6 pm. Immediately, four units of the Fire and Rescue Services reached the spot and began efforts to douse the flames that spread from the second floor to the third floor of the building.
