Thiruvananthapuram, Feb. 12 -- Eminent Manipuri dance exponent Padma Shri, Darshana Jhaveri, has been selected for the prestigious Nishagandhi Puraskaram of the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala, for outstanding contributions to Indian classical dance traditions.
Tourism Minister P A Mohamed Riyas will present the coveted honour to Darshana Jhaveri at the inaugural ceremony of the week-long Nishagandhi Dance Festival, one of India's iconic classical dance fiestas organised by Kerala Tourism, at Kanakakunnu Palace grounds here on February 13 at 6 pm.
