Palakkad, Feb. 5 -- A 12-member team of the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) visited the historic Tali Mahadeva temple at Manjalungal near Onagallur in Pattambi taluk in Kerala and formally handed over documents declaring it as a monument of national importance.

The declaration aims to protect, conserve, and restore the ancient Shiva temple, believed to have been built between the 10th and 11th centuries, located near Ottapalam in Palakkad district.
