Atul KrishanNew Delhi, May 28 -- In a major breakthrough for security agencies, the Delhi Police Special Cell, in coordination with Manipur Police and central security agencies, has arrested Haobijam Dilip Singh, a top commander and alleged mastermind of the banned Manipur-based militant outfit Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP).

According to sources, the accused was apprehended during a high-risk joint operation in Delhi after agencies received specific intelligence inputs about his presence in the national capital. Investigators believe Singh was in Delhi on a covert mission.

KCP is a banned insurgent organisation that has been involved in militant and anti-national activities in Manipur.
