Thiruvananthapurm, April 12 -- AICC General Secretary and Lok Sabha member K. C. Venugopal has called on the Kerala government to initiate a thorough probe into the death of R.L. Nithin Raj, a first-year BDS student of Kannur Dental College, and to assign the investigation to a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
In a statement, Venugopal said serious allegations have been raised by Nithin's parents and classmates against a faculty member, and stressed that the truth must be established through a comprehensive inquiry.
