Hyderabad, July 19 -- Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) president K. Kavitha on Sunday demanded that dependent jobs be provided to the heirs of around 2,000 Singareni workers awaiting appointments under the medical unfitness category and warned that her party would continue its agitation until justice was done.
In a video statement issued from the party office at Banjara Hills, Kavitha alleged that the state government had convened the medical board only as a token exercise after the TRS threatened an indefinite hunger strike.
She claimed that although nearly 2,000 workers were awaiting medical board examinations, only 120 names were announced, of whom 28 were not even informed, and only about 20 per cent were declared medically unfit.
