Hyderabad, March 31 -- Telangana Jagruthi President K Kavitha on Tuesday expressed concern over the state's financial condition, alleging that the Congress government has pushed the state into a mounting debt crisis, as highlighted in the CAG report.
In a post on social media X, she said the government has been heavily dependent on borrowings, reportedly raising about Rs 1.30 lakh crore in loans in a single year. She also claimed that Rs 6,000 crore of these borrowings remained unpaid, reflecting poor fiscal discipline.
Despite generating around Rs 12,000 Cr. in monthly revenue, the government has failed to maintain adequate financial balance, she alleged.
