Shimla, March 9 -- Governor designate Kavinder Gupta was accorded a warm reception on his arrival in Shimla on Monday evening ahead of his swearing-in as the 30th Governor of Himachal Pradesh scheduled on March 10.
Gupta, accompanied by his wife Bindu Gupta, was welcomed by senior political leaders, government officials and prominent citizens at Lok Bhavan.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dhani Ram Shandil, and Political Advisor to the Chief Minister Sunil Sharma were among those present to welcome the Governor-designate.
