Kaushambi, Sept. 3 -- After father, Naushad, now Adil, the son of the owner of an illegal firecracker factory in Kaushambi, was arrested after a brief encounter by police on Thursday.
Adil was shot in both legs and admitted to the district hospital. According to police, they surrounded Adil (20) and attempted to stop him. But Adil turned his bike and tried to flee. The bike skidded. He opened fire on the police, firing two rounds. He was shot in the retaliatory fire. Police admitted him to the district hospital.
Police said they recovered an illegal 315-bore pistol, live cartridges, and three spent shells from Adil. His bike was also seized.
