Varanasi, Sept. 17 -- The ancient city is witnessing grand celebrations on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday. As the MP from Varanasi, the special day turned the city into a festive hub with various events being organised across the city.
A cleanliness drive was carried out from Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Chowk to Kachahari Chowk under the leadership of Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ravindra Jaiswal, advocate Ashok Kumar, and members of the Scheduled Caste Morcha.
Minister Jaiswal said blood donation camps were being organised in Kashi to mark the occasion, along with fruit distribution at old age homes and orphanages.
