Varanasi, Feb. 14 -- Kashi, the city of Mahadev, is enveloped in festive fervor as preparations for Mahashivratri reach a crescendo. On Friday evening, coinciding with Vijaya Ekadashi, the city witnessed a spectacular celebration as Lord Shiva was ceremonially adorned with auspicious yellow turmeric, marking the formal beginning of the Shiva marriage rituals.
The grand procession commenced from Dharam Niwas, the residence of Shri Mahant Lingiya Maharaj (Shiv Prasad Pandey) at Bansfatak, drawing thousands of devotees to Tedhinim.
